There is no relationship between the visuals and the lyrics as there's no lip syncing involved in the video, however the dancers involved in the video do dance to the rhythm and sound of the song.

One of the genres is 'Trip hop' and this originated in the 1990's and in the music video the costumes for the dancers signify the time period, it also contains hip hop influences and these costumes signify this, whereas if it was a genre like classical then the dancers would be dressed much more formal instead they're dressed in lycra which is more of an anchor to the genre.
