Establishing shot
. Throughout this video there's no link between the visuals and lyrics and it makes the video a concept type of video.


. And there's a variety of locations which is common for music videos, and they show these locations through establishing shots.


Extreme long shot

. They also use framing well by framing the main actor in the centre of the frame in most shots which is common in most videos, this way it signifies the actors importance within the video.
Two shot

. However there is a narrative even though it's not related to the lyrics as the story is about this girl who lost her pet giraffe but then is reunited again with it, and two shots are used to show the relationship between these two.
. Also the pace of the takes in shots relates to the song and the genre of the song as it's House and it's a chilled genre so the shots are expected to be at a slower rate than what they'd be if the genre was Dance.

Close up
. It's a performance video throughout with the band playing on screen all the time, which is counter stereotypical for music videos as it could be seen as a boring way to go about a music video, the performance is shown with the instruments on screen. This performance footage is also common as it give the audience an insight to what the band would be like live.

. There's also a direct link between the visuals and the lyrics as the singer is lip syncing throughout the video which is common for music videos.


Long shot.
. The star treatment isn't really applied as the band are 2 brothers so are equally important within this band, and this is shown as they're equally shown on screen.

. They also use a green screen for the effects in the background with the lazers which is common as it's an easy way to achieve this appealing effect.


. However the video is set all in 1 location which is also counter sterotypical for music videos as it could lead to the audience in finding it boring and not wanting to watch it again as they could loose interest.

Points:
.Throughout the video there's no link between lyrics and visuals within lip syncing which makes it seem like a narrative video, however there's parts where the lyrics "gold" is signified by having a gold. watch or paint.


Medium close up
. There's also the female gaze theory being applied by having the male actor very revealing with him in the shower and having no clothes on at parts, this way it's supposed to appeal more to the female audience.

. However the whole video is based in one location so it lacks a variety of location, whereas it's common for music videos to use lots of locations as they have the ability to attempt this.



. They do use a large variety of shot types and angle which helps to achieve verisimilitude and makes the video interesting.
. And close-ups are used on the main actor to reveal his emotion which is commonly used in music videos when showing the main actor within the narrative.

Points:
. There's a difference straight away in comparison to Bondax's earlier video "Gold" where there was just one location, because in this video they use a variety of locations which is common for music videos.
Titles

. Also there's a common feature with the titles being used at the start of the music video as it gives the cinematic feel to it.



Two shot
. It's a narrative structured video as the lyrics are telling a love story and the narrative is following a couple that are in love.
. The mise-en-scene works well to direct the narrative at the target audience as they're dressed like 18-24 years old in jeans and baggy t-shirts.


Long shot
. They also portray the stereotypical representation for this age group as they are partying and drinking, this is signified with them dancing and drinking out of bottles, also they're skateboarding which is stereotypical for males at this age.

Points:
Medium long shot
. The whole video is set in one location and lacks a variety of locations which is counter-typical because it makes the video dull at times and doesn't often leave the audience in wanting to watch it again.
. And what's fairly common is that they've incorporated the performance in with the narrative as they have lip syncing and instruments being played but they aren't the real band.

. Also the mise-en-scene has worked well within the narrative as it's portraying the 'Rapture' and it's set in a church and the lead actor looks like a reverend with his costume.

. And they show an older audience in the video which is common in music videos so that they appeal to the secondary audience.

.There's also a lot of cut away shots used from the lead singer and other shots which helps achieve verisimilitude well, which is also commonly used in music videos.
